• Oxford Rail Replacement

From Saturday 7th July until Sunday 22nd July 2018 and from Saturday 28th July until Sunday 29th July 2018, there will be an enhanced park&ride500 service.

From 7th July to 22nd July 2018, and again on 28th and 29th July 2018, the railway line between Oxford Parkway and Oxford station will be closed for planned engineering works. During this period we expect demand for our park&ride500 service to increase.

Therefore we will be enhancing the timetable over this period, to provide additional journeys and extended operating hours to cope with the expected higher levels of demand. We will have supervisors on duty at Oxford Parkway and Oxford station from 07:00 to 19:00 on these days and will also have additional standby buses on hand to assist in the event of overloading.

During the period of the rail blockade we will be accepting all valid Chiltern Railways and GWR tickets for travel between Oxford and London terminals for travel on our park&ride500 service. We will also be accepting rail tickets for travel between Oxford and stations along the Chiltern line to London such as Bicester Village, High Wycombe and Wembley Stadium over this period.

All valid rail tickets, except Advance Purchase tickets are also valid on the following services:

  • city35 between Oxford - Radley - Abingdon
  • park&ride300 between Oxford - Redbridge or Pear Tree Park & Rides
  • BROOKESbusU1, city4A/4B/4C and park&ride400 between Oxford - Seacourt Park & Ride
  • park&ride500 between Oxford - Oxford Parkway - Woodstock
